If the CD does not work on
your computer, there may be a number of reasons for this.
Firstly check it on someone else's computer. Often pupils
have newer computers with the latest software..
The most common reason for it not working is that you need to have ActiveX enabled in Internet Explorer 6
or 7. This is usually a bar that appears at the top of the screen and you need to click on this
to allow blocked content.

click on this bar and choose
"Allow Blocked Content...". Then choose "Yes".

This will not cause any other problems because it only affects this CD when it is running on your computer.
Because of how the CD works, it requires JavaScript to be enabled and needs ActiveX to work.
So, as stated here and on the CD, only Internet Explorer 5 or above with a Pentium II processor or faster will work.
Annoyingly, browsers other than Internet Explorer, such as Mozilla Firefox,
do not provide ActiveX support. However, if you have Windows, then Internet Explorer is on your computer somewhere, or can be downloaded from
Microsoft for free. You need to specify that the CD uses Internet Explorer by opening the CD in
that. You do not have to use IE at other times and the CD
does not access the Internet..
Sometimes it is a fault in the set-up for the Windows Media that prevents the videos from playing. That can be solved by reinstalling it.
